MORGANGTOWN, W.Va. (May 3) – California (PA) senior
Noah Bernarding broke his own school record in the 800-meter run at Princeton this weekend, while additional entries competed at the Stan Romanski Open hosted by West Virginia on Saturday.
RECORDS/STANDARDS
• Bernarding finished with a time of 1:50.47 on Friday while competing at Princeton.
• He eclipsed the school record set earlier this year by nearly two-tenths of a second.
• Bernarding boasts the fastest time in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) this season by over one second.
• Junior
Marlin Davis reached the league standard in both the 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash at WVU.
• He recorded the best time in the league this spring in the 200 meters with a time of 21.25 seconds.
• Davis reached the conference standard in the 100 meters on Saturday by crossing the finish line in 10.69 seconds.
• Sophomore
Jon Berzonsky posted a PSAC-qualifying time of 1:55.33 in the 800-meter run.
• Junior
Aidan McMahon established a personal record in the 200 meters by crossing the finish line with a time of 22.03 seconds.
• Senior
Ethan Moyer improved his conference-qualifying mark in the javelin throw with a heave of 55.46 meters (181-11.0 feet).
VICTORIES
• Davis won the 200 meters at WVU by over one-tenth of a second with his season-best time.
• He also claimed the victory on Saturday in the 100 meters by over two-tenths of a second.
• Freshman
Jack Ozimek earned the win in the high jump for the second time this spring by clearing a height of 1.80 meters (5-10.75 feet).
