NCBWA All-America Teams
WINGATE, N.C. (May 21) – California (PA) junior relief pitcher
Jake Kramer was tabbed a National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Third-Team All-American on Wednesday afternoon, marking his second All-America designation from the organization.
Kramer becomes the first player in program history to earn multiple All-America merits from the NCBWA after being a Second-Team All-America honoree last spring. He shattered the all-time school record and also eclipsed the all-time Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) record with 27 saves this season. Kramer has registered double-digit saves in each of the last two years, breaking the single-season school record both times.
A Greensburg native, Kramer ranks fifth in NCAA Division II with 11 saves entering the NCAA Super Regionals this weekend. He finished the year with a 4-1 record and a 3.00 ERA over 39.0 innings pitched while making 22 appearances. Kramer logged at least 2.0 innings in seven of his relief appearances, plus worked 5.0 innings in his first career start on March 7 against Ashland (Ohio) – which made a fourth-consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 2025. The 6-foot-3 junior established a career high with 35 strikeouts this year and held opponents to a .188 average (9-for-48) with two outs.
Kramer recently repeated as a first-team all-region selection by both the NCBWA and Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) with the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) all-region teams yet to be announced. Additionally, he received All-PSAC West First-Team laurels for a consecutive year.
A finance and personal financial planning major, Kramer was one of only three players in the Atlantic Region to be named a NCBWA All-American in 2025. He helped the Vulcans set a school record with 38 wins while advancing to the PSAC Championship for the first time in 15 years. Cal also made its sixth all-time appearance in the NCAA Tournament this spring, its first since the 2010 campaign.
Kramer will be playing in the Coastal Plain League (CPL) this summer for the Morehead City Marlins in Morehead City, North Carolina.
