SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. (May 10) – Senior
Noah Bernarding won the 800-meter run in his final collegiate race on Saturday, as the Vulcans scored in seven events to finish eighth at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships.
The California (PA) men's track & field team totaled 44 points after scoring in eight event at the league championships. East Stroudsburg captured the program's first-ever PSAC Championship on Saturday after finishing with 165.5 points. Defending-league champion Shippensburg placed second in the team standings with 148 points and host Slippery Rock ranked third with 126.16 points.
Bernarding captured his second career league title after winning the 1-mile run at last year's indoor conference meet. On Saturday, he crossed the finish line in 1 minute, 52.58 seconds to win the 800 meters by over one-tenth of a second. Bernarding earned All-PSAC status seven times during his track & field career, including four times in the 800 meters.
Fellow senior
Logan Pfister received All-PSAC honors in the long jump on Saturday. He set a season-best height of 2.05 meters (6-8.75 feet) to finish third overall while reaching the NCAA provisional standard. Pfister closed his career as a six-time All-PSAC honoree in the high jump, highlighted by four league crowns.
Junior
Jonathan Thrush placed third in the 5,000-meter run at the league championships to garner All-PSAC accolades in the event for the second time in 2025. He posted a time of 15:06.53 in a field of 20 entries on Saturday. Thrush has now collected All-PSAC laurels six times in his track & field career.
Senior
Ethan Moyer established a season-best mark and scored in the javelin throw on Saturday. He finished sixth in the event with a distance of 57.51 meters (188-8.0 feet) on his second attempt at the league championships.
Junior
Marlin Davis scored in a trio of events while at Slippery Rock, including a pair of individual finals. He placed fourth in the 100-meter dash with a wind-aided time of 10.48 seconds and later posted a time of 21.51 seconds to finish sixth overall in the 200-meter dash.

Will Berzonsky and Bernarding set a season-best time of 3:19.31 to finish in sixth place at the league championships.
