SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. (April 5) – California (PA) freshman
Loreena Manser registered the fastest time in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) this spring while winning the 200-meter dash at the Dave Labor Invitational hosted by Slippery Rock on Saturday.
VICTORIES
• Manser won the 200 meters for the first time this spring, topping the field by over four-tenths of a second.
• The field featured the indoor league champion in the event from host Slippery Rock.
PSAC STANDARDS
• Manser reached league-qualifying marks in both the 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash on Saturday.
• Her time in the 200 meters ranks as the second-fastest in school history, regardless of conditions, behind two-time National Champion Divonne Franklin.
• Manser also set a season-best time of 12.13 second during the preliminaries of the 100 meters.
• She placed second in both the preliminaries and finals (12.15 seconds) of the event on Saturday.
• Fellow freshman
Brianna Lee qualified for the PSAC Championships in the high jump by clearing a collegiate-best 1.65 meters (5-5.0 feet) on her final attempt at the height.
• Classmate
Riley Tighe reached the league standard in the 100 meters with a season-best time of 12.29 seconds during the preliminaries.
• Sophomores
Gabriella Fralin and
Rosalyn Perozzi both qualified for the conference meet in the 800-meter run at Slippery Rock.
• Fralin crossed the finish line in 2:18.17 to rank fourth on the league's performance list this spring.
• Perozzi established a personal record in the event with a time of 2:21.48.
• Freshman
Anna Schuessler reached the PSAC mark in the pole vault with a mark of 3.55 meters (11-7.75 feet).

• The Vulcans will compete at both the River Hawk Multi hosted by Susquehanna and the Bison Outdoor Classic hosted by Bucknell next weekend.
