LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (April 29) – After reaching a NCAA provisional mark over the weekend, California (PA) freshman
Brianna Lee was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Field Athlete of the Week on Tuesday afternoon.
Lee reached the NCAA provisional standard in the high jump for the first time in her career on Saturday while competing at the Paul Kaiser Classic hosted by Shippensburg. She won the event by clearing a height of 1.73 meters (5-8.0 feet) on her first attempt at the mark.
A native of Lancaster, Lee is tied for first on the PSAC Performance List in the high jump and ranks eighth nationally in the event this spring. She boasts the third-best outdoor mark in school history in the high jump behind a five-time All-American and a National Champion.
Lee is the program's first field recipient of the weekly honor since December 2023.
The Vulcans return to action at the Stan Romanoski Open on Saturday, May, 3, in Morgantown, West Virginia.
