LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (April 7) – Following a weekend in which she reached NCAA standards in multiple events, California (PA) sophomore
Loreena Manser was chosen the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Track Athlete of the Week for the fourth time this year on Tuesday afternoon.
Manser reached three NCAA provisional standards, set three league-leading marks and broke the school record in the long jump over the weekend while at the Dave Labor Invitational hosted by Slippery Rock. She won the 200-meter dash with a personal-record time of 23.63 seconds, which is the fastest in the PSAC since former Cal National Champion Divonne Franklin in 2023. Manser also established a personal best while winning the 100-meter dash in 11.71 seconds. The Virginia native additionally broke a two-week-old school record in the long jump with a distance of 6.11 meters (20-0.5 feet).
A 5-foot-0 sophomore, Manser ranks fourth in NCAA Division II this spring in the 200 meters. She also sits third on the national performance list in the long jump. Manser boasts the second-fastest time in outdoor school history in both the 100 and 200 meters.
Manser has received weekly laurels from the conference five times as a sophomore, as she also garnered Field Athlete of the Week accolades once during the indoor campaign. She was named a Second-Team All-American in the long jump last month after capturing the league title in both the 60-meter dash and 200-meter dash.
The Vulcans are set to send entries to three events across Pennsylvania this weekend at meets hosted by Susquehanna, Westminster and Bucknell.
