SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. (April 27) – The California (PA) men's track & field team reached league-qualifying standards in five different events while competing in Eastern Pennsylvania this week.
STANDARDS/WINS @ PAUL KAISER CLASSIC (SHIPPENSBURG) - SATURDAY
• Junior
Marlin Davis won the 200-meter dash with a season-best time of 21.53 seconds.
• He earned the victory in the event for the first time this spring by over one-tenth of a second.
• Davis also improved his conference-qualifying time in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.41 seconds, which would have eclipsed the school record if not wind-aided.
• Sophomore
Jon Berzonsky qualified for the PSAC Championships in the 1,500-meter run after crossing the finish line in 4:00.02.
• Senior
Logan Pfister reached the league standard in the high jump after clearing 1.95 meters (6-4.75 feet).
STANDARDS @ PENN RELAYS – THURSDAY/FRIDAY
• Junior
Jonathan Thrush registered a PSAC-qualifying time of 29:56.49 in the 10,000-meter run.
• Davis finished with a time of 10.71 seconds in the preliminaries of the 100 meters.
• Pfister cleared a mark of 2.00 meters (6-6.75 feet) in the high jump.

• The Vulcans return to action on Saturday, May 3, when they compete at the Stan Romanoski Open in Morgantown, West Virginia.
