LEWISBURG, Pa. (April 13) – The Vulcans reached league-qualifying marks in five different events while at the Bison Outdoor Classic hosted by Bucknell over the weekend.
PSAC STANDARDS
• Freshman
Loreena Manser set a pair of personal records and registered multiple-second place finishes at Bucknell.
• She improved her PSAC-leading time in the 200-meter dash and placed second with a wind-aided time of 24.26 seconds.
• Manser also posted a time of 11.91 seconds to rank second on the league's performance list, her first sub-12 second time of the spring.
• Seniors
Madeline Curtis and
Madison Murtland reached the conference standard in the 1,500-meter run over the weekend.
• Curtis set a season-best time of 4:44.37 to rank among the top five on the PSAC performance list and Murtland crossed the finish line in 4:51.98 – the second-best time of her career.
• Junior
Alice Etienne posted a distance of 11.40 meters (37-5.0 feet) on her second attempt in the triple jump to sit sixth on the league's performance list this spring.
• Freshman
Anna Schuessler reached the conference standard in the pole vault after clearing 3.51 meters (11-6.25 feet) on her second attempt at the height.
• Classmate
Riley Tighe posted a wind-aided time of 12.30 second in the 100 meters to reached the league mark in the event.
NEXT
• The Vulcans will compete at a pair of events this weekend with select entries traveling to the Aggie Invitational hosted by North Carolina A&T State and others competing at the Benson/Hodge Memorial Invitational hosted by Robert Morris.
