GRANVILLE, Ohio (Feb. 8) – The Vulcans placed second at the Bob Shannon Invitational hosted by Denison on Saturday after claiming four victories with one NCAA provisional qualifying time.
TEAM STANDINGS
• California finished with 97 points to place third in the team standings.
• The host Big Red earned the invitational title with 138.5 points on Saturday.
• The event featured nine teams, including five schools from Ohio.
VICTORIES
• Junior
Marlin Davis earned individual victories in both the 60-meter dash and 200-meter dash.
• Senior
Logan Pfister captured the win in the high jump for the first time this year after clearing 1.93 meters (6-4.0 feet) on his third attempt at the height.

Ryan McKowen won the race by over one full second with a time of 11:14.04.
STANDARDS
• Davis reached the NCAA provisional standard in the finals of the 60 meters with a time of 6.84 seconds.
• He also posted a time of 22.41 seconds in the 200 meters to claim the win by over five-tenths of a second.
• Pfister cleared the conference standard in the high jump for the third time this year.

Aidan McMahon reached the PSAC-qualifying mark in the finals of the 60 meters with a time of 7.05 seconds.
