SELINSGROVE, Pa. (Dec. 7) – California (PA) freshmen Jaeda Dockman and Nate Hoffman made their collegiate debuts in the pentathlon and heptathlon, respectively, while competing at the River Hawk Early Season Multi hosted by Susquehanna over the weekend.
Dockman placed fourth in the pentathlon on Saturday after totaling 2,991 points across five events. She won the 800-meter run by nearly a full second with a time of 2 minutes, 34.18 seconds. Dockman also placed second in the high jump after clearing 1.56 meters (5-1.25 feet) on her first attempt at the mark.
A 6-foot-4 freshman, Hoffman competed in four events of the heptathlon and totaled over 2,300 points on Saturday. He placed as high as fourth at Susquehanna with a time of 7.25 seconds in the 60-meter dash. Hoffman did not compete in the final three events of the heptathlon held on Sunday.
