Loreena Manser and senior
Alice Etienne both reached NCAA provisional standards on Friday, as the Vulcans opened the season by competing at the 14th-annual Youngstown State Icebreaker.
NCAA STANDARDS
• Manser posted NCAA qualifying marks in both the 60-meter dash and 200-meter dash.
• Etienne reached the NCAA standard in the triple jump while in Ohio.
PSAC STANDARDS
• Manser established a personal record of 7.57 seconds in the preliminaries of the 60 meters.
• She also placed second in the 200 meters with a time of 24.43 seconds, marking the fastest indoor time of her career.
• Manser additionally qualified for the league championships in the long jump with a distance of 5.56 meters (18-3.0 feet).
• Etienne claimed the victory in the triple jump with a mark of 11.87 meters (38-11.5 meters).
• Sophomore
Riley Tighe reached the conference marks in both the 60 meters (7.72) and 200 meters (25.49) at YSU.
• Junior
Alessandra Peccon qualified for the league meet with a time of 7.89 seconds in the 60 meters, while freshman Amanda Mercurius registered a time of 25.36 seconds in the 200 meters in her college debut to qualify for the conference championships.
• Senior
Jing McCann reached the PSAC standard in the weight throw with a heave of 14.26 meters (46-9.25 feet).
• Sophomore
Anna Schuessler cleared a height of 3.55 meters (11.7.75 feet) in pole vault to reach the conference standard, while freshman Jaeda Dockman posted a PSAC-qualifying mark of 1.60 meters (5-3.0 feet) in the high jump.
• Junior
Rebekah Priano reached the conference standard in the 400-meter dash in 59.41 seconds.
