California opens indoor campaign at YSU

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (Dec. 5) – The California (PA) men's track & field team qualified five entries for the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships on Friday while at the 14th-annual Youngstown State Icebreaker.

PSAC STANDARDS
• The Vulcans qualified a trio of entries in the high jump with freshman Nate Hoffman, freshman Bode Layo and sophomore Jack Ozimek reaching the conference standard.
• The trio all cleared a height of 1.94 meters (6-4.25 feet) at the season-opening event.
• Senior Bill Folmer reached the league mark in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:54.24.
• Freshman Ekoulus Lett qualified for the league championships with a time of 8.31 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles while making his college debut.

• Cal returns to action this weekend with an entry at the River Hawk Early Season Multi hosted by Susquehanna on Dec. 6-7 in Selinsgrove, PA.
