CALIFORNIA (Dec. 16) – The California (PA) volleyball team placed four players on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team on Tuesday afternoon.

Adrianna Favata, junior
Kay Lindenfelser, senior
Tayla Pascoe and junior
Sarah Stephenson earned the honors from the organization. Favata and Lindenfelser received the accolade for the second-straight year, while Pascoe and Stephenson were recognized for the first time.
Favata shattered her career highs with 572 assists and 266 digs this season while starting all 30 matches. She boasts a 3.95 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) while completing a degree in health sciences.
A Pittsburgh native, Lindenfelser ranked fourth on the team with a career-high 222 digs and appeared in all 30 matches. She holds a 3.95 cumulative GPA while pursuing a degree in early childhood & elementary education.
Pascoe totaled 111 digs while playing in 28 matches this fall. She maintains a 3.97 cumulative GPA while finishing a degree in accounting with a minor in personal financial planning.
A 5-foot-10 junior, Stephenson finished second on the team with career highs of 313 kills and 344 points after appearing in 29 matches. She boasts a 3.93 cumulative GPA while majoring in biology with minors in chemistry and mathematics.
To qualify for CSC Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, maintain a cumulative 3.50 GPA and have played in 90 percent of the team's matches or started 66 percent of the team's matches. Additionally, each institution is limited to four nominees in the sport of volleyball.
Stephenson was chosen as a CSC Academic All-America finalist and advances to the national ballot with the CSC Academic All-America Teams being announced next month.
