WINGATE, N.C. (Jan. 30) – Following a record-setting 2024 campaign, California (PA) junior relief pitcher
Jake Kramer was tabbed a preseason National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) First-Team All-American on Thursday afternoon.
Kramer received preseason All-America status for the second time in advance of the 2025 campaign, as he was previously named a First-Team All-American by D2 Baseball. He enters the spring tied for the all-time school record with 16 saves while boasting a 7-1 record and a 1.33 ERA over 37 career appearances, all in relief.
A 6-foot-3 junior, Kramer finished eighth in the country last year and set a single-season school record with 10 saves. He also posted a 4-1 record with a 1.47 ERA and finished with a 3.3 strikeout-to-walk ratio. Kramer tossed 30.2 innings pitched as a sophomore after working at least 2.0 innings eight times.
The Vulcans are scheduled to begin the year with a three-game home series against Mansfield at Wild Things Park in Washington, Pennsylvania, on Feb. 15-16.
