Vulcans reach four marks while at SPIRE

GENEVA, Ohio (Jan. 25) – In their first action of the new calendar year, the Vulcans reached four Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC)-qualifying marks on Saturday while competing at the SPIRE Midwest Open.

PSAC STANDARDS
• Senior Noah Bernarding placed second in the 1-mile run with a time of 4:15.20.
• He ranks third on the league's performance list in the event after making his season debut on Saturday.
• Junior Jonathan Thrush crossed the finish line with a time of 8:41.78 in the 3,000-meter run while also competing for the first time this season.
• Senior Logan Pfister and freshman Jack Ozimek both reached the conference standard in the high jump while in Ohio.
• Pfister placed second in the event with a mark 1.95 meters (6-4.75 feet) and Ozimek reached the standard for the first time this season with height of 1.90 meters (6-2.75 feet).

• The Vulcans return to action when they compete at the Mid-Major Invitational hosted by Youngstown State on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1.
