CALIFORNIA (Aug. 12) – One of the top all-time scorers in school history, former California (PA) guard
Zyan Collins will be playing professionally overseas for the Tamis Pancevo in Serbia.
Collins ranks fourth all-time with 1,743 points after averaging 14.5 points over 120 career games. He is one of only seven players at Cal to earn All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West status three times in his career, accomplishing the feat in 2020, 2022 and 2024. Collins finished his career with a .450 field-goal percentage (664-of-1475) and also averaged 5.2 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game.
A native of Virginia, Collins helped the Vulcans transform to a regional contender throughout his career. He started all 27 games as a true freshman before the team posted an 11-win improvement the following year. As a junior, Cal made its first appearance in the NCAA Tournament in nearly 15 years before the Vulcans earned 28 victories during the 2023-24 campaign to match the second-winningest season in school history.
Tamis plays in the KLS, which is the top-tier basketball league in Serbia.
