LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (Dec. 9) – After an impressive college debut in Ohio, California (PA) freshman
Loreena Manser was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Track Athlete of the Week on Monday afternoon.
Manser reached a trio of league-qualifying standards on Friday at the Youngstown State Icebreaker. She posted the fastest time in the PSAC over the weekend in the 200-meter dash after crossing the finish line in 25.09 seconds to place fourth in the event behind three NCAA Division I entries. Manser also registered a time of 7.81 seconds in the preliminaries of the 60-meter dash to rank third on the league's performance list. Additionally, the Virginia native cleared a mark of 5.38 meters (17-8.0 feet) to qualify for the PSAC Championships in the long jump.
A member of a Class 6A state championship team last spring, Manser is the program's first freshman to receive weekly league accolades since the 2014 outdoor season.
