YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (Dec. 6) – Junior transfer
Marlin Davis broke the nearly decade-old indoor school record and reached the NCAA qualifying standard in the 60-meter dash, as the Vulcans opened the campaign on Friday at the Youngstown State Icebreaker.
RECORD
• Davis, a transfer from Lenoir-Rhyne (N.C.), registered a record time of 6.78 seconds in the finals of the 60 meters.
• He eclipsed the previous mark set by Julius Rivera at 2015 PSAC Championships by five-hundredths of a second.
NCAA STANDARD
• Davis reached the NCAA qualifying mark in the 60 meters by six-hundredths of a second while competing for the first time since the 2022 NCAA Outdoor Championships.
PSAC STANDARDS
• Davis also posted a time of 21.77 seconds in the 200-meter dash to qualify for the league championships on Friday.

Jack Ozimek qualified for the PSAC Championships in the high jump with a height of 1.86 meters (6-1.25 feet) on his first attempt at the height.

Aidan McMahon tallied a PSAC-qualifying time of 6.97 seconds in the preliminaries of the 60 meters.
