LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (May 9) – The California (PA) baseball team featured five honorees on the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division Teams, announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.
The Vulcans were led by sophomore second baseman
Santino Marra (Uniontown, Pa./Laurel Highlands) being an All-PSAC West First Team selection. He paces the team and ranks second in the league with a .400 batting average - the first .400 hitter for the Vulcans since 2017. Additionally, Marra has recorded 70 hits, three home runs, 42 RBI and 30 runs scored. The Laurel Highlands product has drawn a career-best 18 walks and stolen nine bases while notching a .577 slugging percentage with a .468 on-base percentage. In the field, Marra has recorded a .964 fielding percentage with a team-high 96 assists and 66 putouts in addition to helping turn 21 double-plays. The Uniontown native has started all 47 games with season and garnered his first career All-PSAC West nod.

Justin Stewart (Butler, Pa./Butler), sophomore left fielder
Ryan Callahan (Bexley, Ohio/Bexley), sophomore starting pitcher
Roman Gill (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell) and freshman relief pitcher
Jake Kramer (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) were named to the All-PSAC West Second Team.
Stewart earned a consecutive All-PSAC West Second-Team selection, as he has posted career highs with a .319 batting average, 43 hits and three triples, plus tied a career benchmark of 21 RBI. Behind home plate, the Butler product has tallied a .987 fielding percentage with 24 assists and 211 putouts in addition to throwing out 14 runners attempting to steal. Stewart has started in 40 games this spring.
A transfer from Wright State, Callahan received all-conference laurels in his first year with the Vulcans. The Ohio native has posted a .287 batting average with four home runs this season, which ranks second on the team. He has notched 29 RBI on 49 hits and 12 doubles while scoring 30 runs. Callahan also has recorded a .351 on-base percentage and drawn 15 walks.
Gill collected his first career All-PSAC West honor in his first season as a weekend starter. He has tallied a 3.63 ERA in 10 appearances and holds a 3-3 record with three complete games, which is tied for the third-most in the league. Gill has held opponents to a .229 batting average while only surrendering 44 hits, the fourth-fewest allowed in the conference. The Hopewell product has tossed a career-best 52.0 innings this year.
As the feature closer for the Vulcans, Kramer has notched six saves while a freshman to tie for second in the conference and tie the third-most in single-season school history. He has tallied 24 strikeouts in 20.1 innings on 16 appearances. The Greensburg native has registered a 1.33 ERA and posted a 2-0 record.
The Vulcans have featured at least five players on the All-PSAC West Teams each season since 2019.
Cal returns to action tomorrow, Wednesday, May 10, as it begins play in the PSAC Tournament, hosted by Slippery Rock, against East Stroudsburg in a single-elimination game at 9:30 a.m.
