Jonathan Thrush (Temple, Pa./Muhlenberg) recorded a top-10 finish and posted the fastest time in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) this season in the 10,000-meter run at the Penn Relays on Thursday night.
Thrush finished with a time of 30 minutes, 8.43 seconds to place ninth overall in a field of 22 entries. He improved his NCAA provisional time by nearly 19 seconds while competing in the event for the second time in his career. Thrush now holds the top mark in the league in the 10,000 meters this spring by over 49 seconds.
The Vulcans are set to have an additional entry compete at the Penn Relays later this weekend, plus return to action on Saturday, April 29, at the Paul Kaiser Classic hosted by Shippensburg.
