SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. (April 1) – The Vulcans won a pair of individual events and six entries reached conference-qualifying standards on Saturday while competing at the Dave Labor Invitational hosted by Slippery Rock
Junior
Noah Bernarding (Cochranton, Pa./Cochranton) claimed the victory in the 1,500-meter run after crossing the finish line in 3 minutes, 58.64 seconds. He won the race that featured over 70 entries by nearly 1.5 seconds while posting a season-best time. Bernarding still boasts the fastest time in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) this spring in the 800-meter run.
Senior
Kristopher Lytle (Columbia, Md./Atholton) registered a pair of second-place finishes while at Slippery Rock. He posted a season-best time of 21.87 seconds in the 200-meter dash and tallied a wind-aided time of 10.77 seconds in the 100-meter dash. Lytle ranks among the top 10 in the league this year in both events.

Steven Graves III (Harrisburg, Pa./Susquehanna Township) and senior
Tyrese Canada (Richmond, Va./Henrico) both also reached the conference-qualifying standard in the 100 meters on Saturday. Graves set a season best with a time of 11.02 seconds and Canada finished the race in 11.07 seconds.
Junior
Bryce Washington (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway) established a personal record in the shot put and finished fourth overall. He registered a mark of 14.29 meters (46-10.75 feet) on his sixth and final attempt.
Sophomore
Ian Zimmerman (Bedford, Pa./Northern Bedford County) earned the win in the 5,000-meter run at Slippery Rock. He captured the victory by over 13 seconds with a time of 15:27.68.
