CALIFORNIA (March 1) – Following a first-round bye in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament, the second-seeded California (PA) women's basketball team will host third-seeded Edinboro in the quarterfinals at the Convocation Center tonight, Wednesday, March 1, with tip-off scheduled for 6 p.m.

TICKETS
Cal will be selling tickets for the PSAC Tournament at the cost of $10 for adults, $5 for students (K-12th grade) and free admission for Pre-K children and PSAC students with valid ID.

LIVE COVERAGE
The Cal Sports Information Office will provide live statistics for the game while live updates will also be available throughout the game on social media. There will also be live video via CUTV of the post-season contest on the PSAC Digital Network and YouTube.

STORYLINES
• Last Time Out: Cal ended the regular season with an 88-84 overtime win on Senior Day against IUP on Saturday, securing a 10th-straight season with at least 18 wins.
• The Vulcans have advanced to the conference semifinals in five of the last seven playing seasons.
• The winner of the contest will face the advancing team of the Millersville-West Chester in the semifinals of the PSAC Tournament on Saturday, March 4, at the highest remaining seed in the PSAC West.

PSAC TOURNAMENT
• Cal earned the second seed and will host third-seeded Edinboro, while fifth-seeded Pitt-Johnstown will travel to face the top-seeded Gannon on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
• In the Eastern Division, top-seeded West Chester will host fourth-seeded Millersville and third-seeded Kutztown travels to face second-seeded Shippensburg.
• The final four teams remaining will travel to the highest remaining seed in the PSAC West for the semifinals and the championship on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

SCOUTING THE VULCANS
• Earlier this year, Jess Strom became the ninth coach in PSAC history to earn at least 250 career wins. Overall, Strom holds a 255-77 record with the Vulcans and boasts a 15-8 mark in the PSAC Tournament.
• Senior Rajah Fink leads the team and ranks 11th in the conference with 15.3 points per game, plus scored her 1,000 career point earlier this season. She also leads the league with 10.4 rebounds per game, as she is the only player in the PSAC averaging a double-double this year. She ranks among the top 20 in NCAA Division II with a total of 13 double-doubles in 28 games.
• Cal sits fifth in the PSAC with 39.2 rebounds per game behind an impressive 13.6 offensive rebounds per game. The Vulcans rank third in the league with a plus-2.96 turnover margin while committing 14.9 turnovers per game - the best in the league.

SCOUTING THE FIGHTING SCOTS
• In her fifth year as head coach, Callie Wheeler enters the contest with a 68-43 overall record while leading the program to five appearances in the PSAC Tournament.
• Junior Rana Elhusseini ranks third in the PSAC in scoring at 18.6 points per game and sits fifth in the league with 4.8 assists per game. A 2022 All-PSAC West First-Team selection, she also ranks third in the conference with 2.4 steals per game.
• The Fighting Scots feature the highest scoring offense in the PSAC, averaging 73.9 points per game while making a league-high 8.1 three-pointers per game.

SERIES
• Edinboro holds a 20-17 advantage in the series dating back to the 2007-08 season after the teams split the regular-season series this year.
• Strom holds a 12-19 against Edinboro as head coach for Cal, including a 4-3 mark against the Fighting Scots in the PSAC Tournament.
• The Vulcans and Fighting Scots met in the quarterfinals of the PSAC Tournament last year as well with Cal advancing with a 72-48 victory.
