LEWISBURG, Pa. (Feb. 26) – Sophomore Logan Pfister (Fishertown, Pa./Chestnut Ridge) repeated as the league champion in the high jump, as the Vulcans registered their highest finish at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Indoor Championships since 2015 on Sunday afternoon.

The California (PA) men's track & field team totaled 56.8 points to place fifth over the weekend after scoring in 11 of 17 events. Shippensburg captured its 12th-consecutive league title after finishing with 165 points. Slippery Rock placed second in the team standings with 133 points and East Stroudsburg ranked third with 73.5 points.

Pfister became the program's first field standout to repeat as league champion in recent program history (since 2008). He claimed the victory on Sunday after clearing 2.03 meters (6-8.0 feet) on his third attempt at the height. Pfister ranks first on the league's performance list this season, and is tied for No. 19 nationally, after breaking his own school record last week with a mark of 2.10 meters (6-10.75 feet).

Senior Kristopher Lytle (Columbia, Md./Atholton) earned All-PSAC status for the fifth time in his career. He placed third in the finals of the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.15 seconds, which was seven-hundredths of a second faster than his preliminary time from yesterday. Lytle also scored in the 60-meter dash on Sunday, as he finished in fourth place with a time of 6.98 seconds.

Freshman Daniel Munro (Brookhaven, Pa./Penncrest) broke his own school record in the heptathlon and finished fifth overall with 4,537 points, breaking his school record in the event set two weeks ago by nearly 150 points. He ranked No. 11 in the heptathlon entering the final three events on Sunday. Munro then captured the win in the pole vault by clearing a height of 4.55 meters (14-11.0 feet) and finished third in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.67 seconds.

Freshman Jonathan Thrush (Temple, Pa./Muhlenberg) and sophomore Ian Zimmerman (Bedford, Pa./Northern Bedford County) both scored in the 3,000-meter run at the league championships. Thrush placed fourth overall with a season-best time of 8 minutes, 44.10 seconds, while Zimmerman finished in seventh place after crossing the finish line in 8:50.94.

In addition to Lytle, freshman Steven Graves III (Harrisburg, Pa./Susquehanna Township) and senior Tyrese Canada (Richmond, Va./Henrico) both scored in the finals of the 60 meters on Sunday. Graves finished sixth in the event with a time of 7.08 seconds and Canada was in seventh place at 7.09 seconds.
