CALIFORNIA (March 1) - Following a first-round bye, the Vulcans open play in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament on Wednesday, March 2, by hosting Edinboro in the quarterfinals with tip-off at the Convocation Center set for 6 p.m.
TICKETS
Cal U is selling tickets for the PSAC Tournament at the cost of $10 for adults, $5 for students and PSAC students with valid ID are admitted for free.

STORYLINES
• Last Time Out: Cal U ended the regular season with a 63-57 victory at Gannon on Saturday to claim the PSAC West title for the first time since the 2016-17 campaign.
• The Vulcans have advanced to at least the semifinals of the league tournament four times in the last six playing seasons.
• The winner of the contest will face the advancing team from Shepherd-Bloomsburg in the semifinals of the PSAC Tournament on Saturday, March 5, at the highest remaining seed from the PSAC East.
PSAC TOURNAMENT
• Cal U is the No. 1 seed in the PSAC Tournament and will host No. 5 Edinboro, while No. 2 Gannon will host No. 6 Pitt-Johnstown, which upset No. 3 Seton Hill in the first round earlier this week.
• In the Eastern Division, No. 1 Kutztown hosts No. 5 Lock Haven and No. 3 Shepherd travels No. 2 Bloomsburg.
• The final four teams remaining will travel to the highest remaining seed in the PSAC East for the semifinals and the championship on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
SCOUTING THE VULCANS
• In her 11th year as head coach,
Jess Strom enters as the all-time winningest coach in school history with a 234-65 overall record and a 158-47 mark in league action. Strom has led the Vulcans to 10-straight appearances in the conference tournament.
• Junior transfer
Dejah Terrell leads the PSAC in scoring and blocked shots at 19.1 points per game and 2.62 blocks per game, which ranks No. 12 in the country. In her first year with the program, Terrell sits third in the conference with 11 double-doubles and ranks fourth in rebounding at 9.6 per game.
• Cal U enters the contest leading the league and ranking third in NCAA Division II in scoring defense, holding opponents to just 51.5 points per game. The Vulcans rank first in the PSAC in both steals per game and turnovers forced, as they are collecting 11.3 steals per game and force over 22 turnovers per game.
SCOUTING THE FIGHTING SCOTS
• In her fourth year as head coach, Callie Wheeler enters the contest at 51-31 overall with a 41-24 mark in conference play while making three PSAC Tournament berths.
• Edinboro features a prolific guard in sophomore Rana Elhusseini, who ranks second on the team in scoring at 12.8 points per game and sits second in the league with an .872 free-throw percentage. She also ranks fifth in the conference with 4.6 assists per game.
• The Fighting Scots rank second behind the Vulcans with 10.6 steals per game and sit third in the PSAC with over 19 turnovers forced per game.
SERIES
• Edinboro holds a 19-15 advantage in the series dating back to the 2007-08 season after the teams split the regular-season series this year after the Fighting Scots won the previous six meetings.
• Strom holds a 10-18 record against Edinboro as head coach at Cal U, including a 3-3 record against the Fighting Scots in the PSAC Tournament.
• The programs will be meeting in the post-season for the first time since Edinboro earned an 89-45 victory in the quarterfinals of the 2018 PSAC Tournament.
