Divonne Franklin (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop John Carroll) reached a pair of NCAA provisional marks and junior
Beyoncé Kelly (Edgewood, Md./Harford Technical) reset her own school record with a NCAA height in the high jump while at the Jud Logan Memorial Tune-Up hosted by Kent State on Saturday.
Franklin reached the NCAA standard in the 200-meter dash for the first time this year and matched her season-best time in the 60-meter dash while in Ohio. She won the 200 meters for the fourth time this winter after crossing the finish line in 24.85 seconds, as she became the third sprinter in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) to reach the NCAA mark in the event. Franklin also claimed the victory in the 60 meters with a NCAA-qualifying time of 7.57 seconds, which is the fastest time in the league this season.
Kelly reset her own school record in the high jump on Saturday, as she cleared 1.71 meters (5-7.25 feet) on her third attempt. She finished third in the event while registering the top height in the league this season. Kelly broke the 14-year old school record in the high jump last week when she topped 1.68 meters (5-6.00 feet) to reach the NCAA provisional standard.

Tatyana Young (Marion, Ohio/River Valley), Franklin, freshman
Taylor Timmons (Butler, Pa./Butler) and Kelly finished second in the event, and tops among non-NCAA Division I programs, with a time of 4 minute, 6.28 seconds.
Individually, Young set a personal record and improved her league-qualifying mark when she rounded the track second overall in the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.48 seconds.
Junior
Kailee Bunyard (Columbia, Md./Atholton) placed second in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.21 seconds to reach the conference standard.
In addition to Kent State, select members of the Vulcans competed at the Raider Tune-Up hosted by Mount Union. Junior
Anna Ebersole (Pottstown, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) reached a pair of league-qualifying marks and registered a trio of top-three performances. She set a personal record and qualified for the PSAC Championships in the long jump while finishing second overall with a distance of 5.34 meters (17-6.25 feet). Ebersole also placed second in the high jump while reaching the league standard with a height of 1.59 meters (5-2.50 feet) in Ohio. The Bishop Shanahan product also finished third in the shot put with a heave of 11.35 meters (37-3.00 feet).
Sophomore
Madeline Curtis (Harborcreek, Pa./Harbor Creek) reached the league standard in the one-mile run and placed fifth overall with a season-best time of 5:27.99.
Freshman
Bailey Popovich (Johnstown, Pa./United) posted a pair of top-five finishes while at Mount Union. She placed fourth in the finals of the 60 meters with a time of 8.37 seconds after crossing the finish line in 8.27 seconds in the preliminaries. Popovich also registered a time of 28.07 seconds to finish fifth overall in the 200 meters.
The Vulcans return to action next weekend at the PSAC Championships hosted by Edinboro on Feb. 26-27.
