EDINBORO, Pa. (Dec. 4) – Juniors
Anna Ebersole (Pottstown, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) and
Darcie Frazier (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg) both recorded top-five finishes in the pentathlon while at the Mike Kowal Multi hosted by Edinboro on Saturday.
Ebersole finished in third place with 3,087 points while competing in a field of 11 entries. Frazier placed fifth overall with 3,063 points and freshman
Tatum Hoffman (Ligonier, Pa./Ligonier Valley) totaled 2,671 points to finish seventh in her collegiate debut.
Competing in her second career pentathlon, Ebersole won long jump with a mark of 4.81 meters (15-9.5 feet) and also tied for first place in the high jump on Saturday by clearing 1.63 meters (5-4.25 feet). She finished third in the shot put with a heave of 10.28 meters (33-8.75 feet) and placed fourth in the 60-meter hurdles while at Edinboro with a time of 9.97 seconds.
Frazier recorded second-place finishes in a pair of events in the pentathlon. She posted a time of 9.78 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles and finished with a heave 10.34 meters (33-11.25 feet) in the shot put. Hoffman placed second in the long jump with a distance of 5.04 meters (16-6.5 feet) while at Edinboro.
The Vulcans are now idle until after the holidays.
