Box ScoreSLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. (April 19) – The No. 12 Vulcans closed the regular season on Saturday afternoon with a 9-0 victory at Slippery Rock in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West play, marking the program's 11th-consecutive divisional title.
With the win, the California University of Pennsylvania tennis team improves to 12-3 overall with an unblemished 6-0 mark in divisional play. As the top seed in the PSAC West, the Vulcans earned a first-round bye and will play in the semifinals of the league tournament on Friday, April 24, in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. Meanwhile, Slippery Rock falls to 10-11 this season behind a 3-3 record in PSAC West action.
The Vulcans claimed all three doubles points for the third-straight match while playing without a pair of doubles regulars. Playing at the first position for the first time this year, sophomore 
Veronika Mikulis (Otterburn Park, Quebec/Heritage Regional) and freshman 
Lena Dimmer (Wallendorf-Pont, Luxembourg/Lycée Classique) earned an 8-4 victory against Carla Corrochano and Nina Barbano. Sophomores 
Mariela Sarinana (Mexico City, Mexico/Miraflores) and 
Kiefer Shaw (Westmount, Quebec/Centennial) tallied an 8-0 win over Stephanie Fortier and Kylee Woodman at the second slot while making their season debut as a doubles team. Freshmen 
Alice Johns (Northampton, England/Northampton) and 
Katie Olson (Laguna Niguel, Calif./Dana Hills) registered an 8-0 victory at third doubles against Ana Petrovic and Emily Munson.
Cal U swept all six matches in singles play after winning each match in straight sets. Shaw totaled a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Corrochano at the first position for her 14th win this season, which ties her for the team lead. Dimmer collected a 6-2, 6-3 win at second singles against Barbano and Sarinana posted a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Petrovic at the third slot. Johns earned a 6-1, 6-2 win against Foriter at the fourth position and Mikulis downed Woodman at fifth singles by a 6-1, 6-1 count. Olson extended her team-leading winning streak to six matches with a 6-0, 6-0 victory against Amanda Neidig at the sixth slot.
Following a first-round bye, the Vulcans will face the winner of Bloomsburg-Millersville in the semifinals of the PSAC Tournament on Friday in Bloomsburg.
