In the second half, the Fighting Scots stretched their lead to as many as 21 points, 71-50, with 7:53 remaining on a fastbreak layup by freshman Laurel Lindsay. A Smith layup with 7:38 left started a Vulcans' 16-5 run to get the game within 11 points, capped off by a Kermond three-pointer with four-and-a-half minutes left to play, 77-66.
