Loreena Manser was named the Most Valuable Athlete and Outstanding Track Athlete of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Outdoor Championships, while senior
Alice Etienne was tabbed the Outstanding Field Athlete on Saturday afternoon, as the Vulcans finished third in the team standings with their highest point total in program history.
Manser joins Alex Zanella (2015 outdoor) and Divonne Franklin (2023 outdoor) as the only standouts in school history to receive both major awards at the same conference meet. On Saturday, Manser completed the season sweep of the sprint events by winning the 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash, plus anchored the winning 4x400-meter relay and was the second leg of the runner-up 4x100-meter relay. The Virginia native also captured the league title in the long jump yesterday while breaking her own school record. Overall, Manser earned four conference crowns (one relay) and earned All-PSAC status in five events (two relay) this weekend.
Etienne received the major award for the second time this year and became the first standout in program history to garner the accolade multiple times in a career. She completed the season sweep in the triple jump on Saturday after placing second behind only Manser in the long jump yesterday.
The California (PA) women's track & field team has now placed third at the outdoor league championships three times in the last six years. The Vulcans amassed 102 points after scoring in 12 different events over the weekend, highlighted by a school-record seven conference titles. Slippery Rock repeated as the league champion and earned its third PSAC Championship in four years with 146.5 points. West Chester ranked second in the team standings with 106 points and Cal finished third with 102 points, ahead of host Shippensburg with 97 points.
Manser cruised to the victory in the finals of the 100 meters with a time of 11.79 seconds, topping the field by over three-tenths of a second. She later won the title in the 200 meters by more than seventh-tenths of a second with a time of 24.42 seconds in the finals. Manser has now won a combined five league championships in 2026 after receiving individual All-PSAC status three times last year.
Etienne recorded the win in the triple jump with a distance of 12.13 meters (39-9.75 feet) on her sixth attempt. Earlier this year, she became the school's first league champion in the triple jump at the indoor championships.
Sophomore
Brianna Lee earned the conference title in the high jump and reached the NCAA provisional standard. She matched her collegiate personal best with a height of 1.73 meters (5-8.0 feet), a mark she previously cleared last spring while also competing at Shippensburg. The Vulcans have now featured the league champion in the high jump five times over last four years, as Beyonce Kelly swept the event in both 2023 and 2024.
Junior
Rosalyn Perozzi captured the league crown in the 5,000-meter run while making her debut in the event at the conference meet. She won the event by over six seconds with a time of 17:12.20. Perozzi sat in third place with 1,200 meters remaining before taking the lead, closing with splits of 1:20.24 and 1:15.57 over the final 800 meters. The Belle Vernon product is the program's first league champion in the event since Julie Friend in 2018.

Amanda Mercurius and Manser posted a time of 3:52.01 to win event by under three-tenths of a second. Cal sat in fifth place at the midway point before Mercurius posted a split of 57.76 seconds and Manser surged to the win with a staggering split of 54.83 seconds.
The Vulcans also earned All-PSAC laurels in the 4x100 relay on Saturday, as they boasted multiple All-PSAC relay teams for the first time since the 2015 outdoor championships. The relay of junior

Riley Tighe placed second with a time of 47.33 seconds.
Individually, Tighe scored in both the 100 and 200 meters and Neutzling scored in the 100-meter hurdles. Tighe placed seventh in the finals of the 200 meters with a time of 25.38 seconds and finished seventh in the finals of the 100 meters at 12.36 seconds. Neutzling posted a time of 15.36 to place seventh in the finals on Saturday.
Freshman
Abigail DeFruscio broke her own school record and scored in the javelin throw. She placed seventh with a heave of 40.36 meters (132-5.0 feet) on her third attempt in her championship debut. DeFruscio previously set the record two weeks ago while at Slippery Rock with a distance of 38.42 meters (126-0.0 feet).
In addition to Lee, junior
Emily Mahle scored in the high jump with a personal-best height of 1.67 meters (5-5.75 feet) to place seventh overall.
The Vulcans broke school record in four events this outdoor season, while seven entries have reached NCAA provisional standards.
