ERIE, Pa. (April 3) – The Vulcans played a pair of games at Mercyhurst on Friday afternoon, suffering a 19-6 loss and a 20-12 loss to the host Lakers.

California scored on a touchdown pass in the opening game against Mercyhurst. In the second game, the Vulcans recorded both a rushing and a passing touchdown.

The head coaches for California and Mercyhurst, both alumni of their respective universities, previously competed against each other during the 2021 and 2022 seasons.

The Vulcans return to action on April 11 for their first-ever home game, as they host Allegheny (PA) for a pair of contests beginning at 11 a.m.
