CALIFORNIA (April 11) – The California (PA) flag football rolled to a pair of victories over Allegheny (PA) while hosting the first games in program history on Saturday afternoon at Adamson Stadium.
The Vulcans captured a 27-6 victory in the initial game over the Gators. Senior
Alicia Young returned a pair of interceptions for touchdowns, finished with three total interceptions and added a pair of touchdown receptions.
Cal then scored a season-high point total and recorded its third shutout of the year with a 34-0 win against Allegheny. Young again finished with multiple interceptions and added a touchdown reception. Junior
Kimaya Williams recorded an interception return for a touchdown and caught a touchdown pass, while freshman
Mitchell Turner scored a rushing touchdown for the first score of the game.
The Vulcans return to action on Sunday, April 19, when they host a pair of games against Slippery Rock at 12 p.m.
