ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio (Sept. 5) – The Vulcans started the fall season by finishing third in the team standings on Friday following two rounds at the Wheeling Invitational held at Belmont Hills Country Club.
TEAM NOTES
• The California (PA) women's golf team shot a 117-over 693 (354-339) while in Ohio.
• Glenville State captured the tournament title by 25 strokes with an 80-over 656 (324-332).
• Millersville ranked second in the team standings with a 105-over 681 (351-330).
• The event featured 48 players from nine different programs, including six teams from the MEC.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
• Senior
Ari Kaser placed fourth overall after shooting an 18-over 162 (82-80).
• Kaser carded the eighth top-five finish of her career on Friday after being an All-PSAC Second-Team honoree last season.
• Freshman
Isabella Benz finished in 15th place with a 30-over 174 (86-88) while making her collegiate debut.
• Sophomore Elaina Seeley of Glenville State claimed medalist honors by two strokes with a 13-over 157 (80-77).
