BELLE VERNON, Pa. (Sept. 23) – The Vulcans finished third in the team standings on Tuesday while hosting a 36-hole, fall invitational at Cedarbrook Golf Course.
TEAM NOTES
• The California (PA) women's golf team shot a 108-over 676 (336-340) over the two-day event.
• Millersville captured the title by just two strokes with an 82-over 650 (328-322) after firing the lowest round of the tournament on Tuesday.
• Saint Anselm (NH) finished second in the team standings with an 84-over 62 (324-328).
• The field was comprised of 32 golfers from seven teams.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
• Senior
Ari Kaser carded her second top-five finish of the fall, as she shot a 15-over 157 (79-78).
• She tied for third in the field with a total of 19 pars over the two days, plus tallied a pair of birdies on the back nine.
• Freshman
Isabella Benz finished with a 29-over 171 (83-90) to place 13th overall.
• Davis & Elkins junior Marina Saviceva-Noti garnered medalist honors with a one-over 143 (73-70), topping the field by six strokes, after leading the event with both 22 pars and eight birdies.
NEXT
• The Vulcans are idle for over 10 days before competing at the Golden Oaks Shootout hosted by Arcadia in Glenside, Pennsylvania, on Oct. 5-6.
