KUTZTOWN, Pa. (Sept. 16) – Playing the same course where the league championships are annually held in the spring, the California (PA) women's golf team placed eighth on Tuesday at the Millersville Fall Invitational.
TEAM NOTES
• The Vulcans shot a 127-over 703 (351-352) while playing at the Berkleigh County Club.
• West Chester cruised to the invitational title by 25 strokes after firing a 42-over 618 (313-305) with the lowest two rounds of the event.
• Adelphi (NY) finished second in the team standings with a 67-over 643 (327-316) and Kutztown ranked third with an 81-over 643 (327-316).
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
• Senior
Ari Kaser was the team's top finisher on the leader board with a 23-over 167 (88-79).
• She placed 23rd overall in a field of 67 entries from 11 schools, including nine PSAC programs.
• West Chester freshman Cara Murphy earned medalist honors by three strokes with a nine-over 153 (77-76).

• Cal returns to action when it hosts the Vulcan Invitational on Sept. 22-23 at Cedarbrook Golf Course in nearby Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania.
