BRONX, N.Y. (Sept. 12) – The California (PA) women's cross country team competed at the 30th-annual Br. John "Paddy" Doyle Meet of Champions hosted by Iona (NY) on Friday morning, its first time at the event since the 2008 campaign.
TEAM NOTES
• The Vulcans finished seventh in the team standings with 216 points.
• Princeton, the defending-Ivy League Champion, cruised to the invitational title with 19 points behind five of the top-six runners.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
• Junior
Rosalyn Perozzi was the top runner for the Vulcans and crossed the finish line in 35th place with a time of 19:23.70.
• Princeton sophomore Meg Madison claimed the individual victory by nearly 15 seconds after posting a time of 17:32.40 on the five-kilometer course.
NEXT
• Cal is idle for three weeks before competing on Oct. 4 at Daniel Mullen Memorial Invitational hosted by Muskingum in New Concord, Ohio.
