WHEELING, W.Va. (April 7) – The Vulcans placed fourth in the team standings at the weather-shortened West Liberty Invitational on Monday at the Palmer Course at Oglebay Resort.
NOTES
• The California (PA) men's golf team shot a 17-over 585 (292-293) over 36 holes on Monday before the final round was cancelled due to low temperatures.
• Sophomore
Anthony DePietress led the team and tied for ninth overall with a two-over 144 (70-74) while playing in a field of 67 golfers.
• He totaled six birdies in the opening round while shooting a one-under 70.
• Classmate
Gavin Goodrich tied for 15th place with a four-over 146 (77-69) on Monday.
• He fired a two-under 69 in the second round after posting three birdies and an eagle on the par-five second.
• Davis & Elkins earned the invitational title in a field of 10 teams by 17 strokes with a five-under 563 (282-281).
• Sophomore Elias Jarn of D&E claimed medalist honors after carding a seven-under 135 (68-67).

• The Vulcans return to the links next week when they compete at the Cecil C. Spadafora Invitational hosted by IUP on April 15-16.
