KUTZTOWN, Pa. (April 26) – The Vulcans remained seventh in the team standings following the second round of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships on Saturday afternoon.
The California (PA) women's golf team shot a 51-over 339 in the second round, which was a 17-stroke improvement from yesterday. The Vulcans continue to sit seventh at the league championships with a 119-over 695 (356-339) at the Berkleigh Golf Club. Gannon carded a 25-over 313 on Saturday and maintains an 11-stroke lead in the team standings with a 61-over 637 (324-313). West Chester remains in second place with a 72-over 648 (328-320) and Millersville ranks third at the PSAC Championships with an 84-over 660 (332-328).
Senior
Madelyn Myers and junior
Ari Kaser both shot a team-best 10-over 82 in the second round. Myers is tied for 14th overall on the individual leader board with a 23-over 167 (85-82). She has tallied 15 pars over the two rounds, including eight on Saturday. Kaser climbed into a tie for 26th place following the second round with a 28-over 172 (90-82). She played the front nine at two-over in the second round, highlighted by a birdie on the par-four second.
Freshman
Amanda Woods sits in a tie for 18th overall with a 25-over 169 (85-84). She has the played the front nine at a combined seven-over the last two days while making her debut at the league championships. Sophomore
Jessica Ricciardi ranks in 40th place with a 46-over 190 (96-94) and freshman
Angelique Epondulan sits two strokes back at 48-over (101-91) and 41st overall.
Gannon senior Dittie Peterson continues to pace the field with 10-over 154 (78-76), three strokes ahead of the field. She has tallied 22 pars through two rounds at the league championships.
The Vulcans close out the PSAC Championships tomorrow, Sunday, April 27, with final-round tee times starting at 9 a.m.
