ERIE, Pa. (April 22) – The California (PA) men's golf team competed in its largest field of the season when it finished play at the Atlantic/East Regional Preview hosted by Gannon on Tuesday.

NOTES
• The Vulcans finished No. 13 in the standings with a 46-over 622 (314-308) while playing in a field of 23 teams.
• The host Golden Knights earned the invitational title following a playoff hole with Davis & Elkins after both finished with a 15-over 591.
• Sophomore Gavin Goodrich led the team and tied for 20th place with a seven-over 151 (78-73).
• Classmate Chaz Ekoniak finished one stroke back at eight-over 152 (78-74) to finish in a tie for 25th overall.
• Senior Brogan Bennett of West Liberty and freshman Aidan Talent of Davis & Elkins tied for medalist honors with a three-under 141.
• The field featured a combined 120 golfers at the Whispering Woods Golf Club.

NEXT
• The team and individual field for the NCAA Regionals Championships are slated to be announced on Friday, April 25.
• The Vulcans were slotted eighth in the latest NCAA Atlantic Region rankings on April 11.
• The regional championships will be held from May 8-10 at Whispering Woods Golf Club with Gannon serving as the host school.
