INDIANA, Pa. (April 16) – The California (PA) men's golf team carded the lowest score in the final round on Wednesday to tie for second place at the 60th-annual Cecil C. Spadafora Invitational hosted by IUP.
NOTES
• The Vulcans fired a 16-over 300 on Wednesday to mark the lowest round of the entire tournament.
• Cal finished the event, which featured 13 programs, tied with host IUP at 48-over 616 (316-300).

Cole Villa tied for the team lead and seventh overall with a nine-over 151.
• DePietress (78-73) and Villa (80-71) both also tied for the tournament lead with seven birdies over the two rounds.

Gavin Goodrich tied for 12th place after shooting an 11-over 153 (75-78) behind a team-best 20 pars.
• Charleston (WV) won the tournament title by six stokes with a 42-over 610 (306-304).
• Senior Erik Ulvang of Charleston captured medalist honors with a six-over 148 (73-75), one stroke ahead of the 78-member field.

• Cal will send an alternate eight golfers to compete at the Husky Invitational hosted by Bloomsburg at the Frosty Valley Resort in Danville, Pennsylvania, tomorrow, Thursday, April 17.
