WASHINGTON, Pa. (March 25) – Led by a pair of top-10 scores, the California (PA) women's golf team finished second while hosting the Vulcan Fire Classic on Tuesday at the Lone Pine Country Club.
NOTES
• The Vulcans posted a 167-over 743 (373-370) while hosting the eight-team event.
• Junior
Ari Kaser and senior
Madelyn Myers both finished among the top 10 while at Lone Pine.
• Kaser tied for sixth overall with a 33-over 177 (92-85) and Myers finished in eight place with a 34-over 178 (93-85).
• Sophomore
Jessica Ricciardi tied for 17th overall in a field of 40-plus golfers after shooting a 48-over 192 (90-102).
• Millersville fired the lowest score in each round to win the tournament crown by 49 strokes with a 118-over 694 (348-346).
• Senior Charley Kirby of Millersville earned medalist laurels with a 21-over 165 (83-82), topping the field by four strokes.

• Cal returns to the course next week when it competes at the Alvernia Spring Invitational on March 31-April 1 in Mohnton, Pennsylvania.
