GREENSBURG, Pa. (Sept. 24) – The Vulcans carded a top-five finish while competing in a field of 14 teams from the Atlantic Region on Tuesday while playing at the Hannastown Intercollegiate.
NOTES
• California lowered its score over each of the three rounds before finishing with a 30-over 870 (293-290-287).
• Sophomore
Gavin Goodrich posted a consecutive top-five overall finish by shooting a three-over 213 (71-72-70) to rank in a four-way tie for fifth place.
• Classmate
Jacob Pedley, who was playing as an individual, tied for 13th overall with a six-over 216 (67-73-76).
• Fellow sophomore
Anthony DePietress added a top-five 25 finish by carding a 10-over 220 (80-69-71) to tie for 25th place.
• IUP captured the tournament title by five strokes with a 15-over 855 (288-279-288).
• Junior Alex Swinnerton of IUP won medalist laurels by a single stroke with a two-under 208 (70-69-69).
• The field featured over 90 golfers from PSAC, MEC and CIAA programs.

• The Vulcans return to action at the Sunnehanna Collegiate hosted by Pitt-Johnston at the Sunnehanna Country Club on Sept. 30-Oct. 1.
