WEST CHESTER, Pa. (April 2) – Led by a medalist performance from sophomore
Ari Kaser, the Vulcans captured the team title at the rain-shortened Dr. Edwin Cottrell Invitational hosted by West Chester on Tuesday.
TEAM NOTES
• The California (PA) women's golf team earned the invitational title by two strokes with a 54-over 334.
• Millersville placed second in the team standings at 56-over 336 and the host Golden Rams finished third overall at 59-over 339.
• The event was shortened to 18 holes due to rain and course conditions despite the attempt to play at least nine holes on Tuesday.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
• Kaser carded an eight-over 78 on Monday and was tied for first place on the leader board after the opening round.
• She earned medalist honors by virtue of a back-nine tiebreaker at Penn Oaks Golf Club.
• Kaser claimed medalist status for the second time in her career, both in the last five events she's played.

Madelyn Myers placed sixth overall with an 11-over 81 and classmate
Keegan Selinsky shot a 16-over 86 to finish in 11th place.
• Senior
Morgan Hughes added a top-15 finish at West Chester with a 19-over 89 to tie for 14th overall.
NEXT
• Cal is idle for over a week before competing at the Mercyhurst Spring Invitational on April 12 at the Lake View Country Club in North East, Pennsylvania.
