DANVILLE, Pa. (April 18) – The California (PA) women's golf team featured a pair of top-10 golfers on Thursday while competing at Husky Invitational hosted by Bloomsburg at the Golf Course at Frosty Valley.
TEAM NOTES
• The Vulcans shot a 62-over 354 to finish fourth in the team standings at the one-day event.
• Alvernia (Pa.), a NCAA Division III program, captured the tournament title by three strokes with a 50-over 342.
• West Chester finished second at the nine-team invitational with a 53-over 345 and Millersville ranked third with a 60-over 352.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
• Sophomore
Ari Kaser led the team and tied for fifth overall on the individual leader board with a 12-over 85.
• She fired a pair of birdies on the back nine and finished the round with eight pars.
• Junior
Keegan Selinsky tied for seventh place with a 13-over 86, highlighted by a birdie on the par-five 18th.
• Junior
Madelyn Myers tied for 20th overall on Thursday with an 18-over 91.
• Alvernia sophomore Rylee Stenzel earned medalist honors by one stroke with a six-over 70 after playing the back nine at one-over.
NEXT
• The Vulcans are idle for a week before beginning play at the PSAC Championships with the event being held at Berkleigh Golf Club in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, from April 26-28.
