INDIANA, Pa. (April 16) – After two-week layoff, the California (PA) men's golf team finished No. 10 in the team standings at the Cecil C. Spadafora Invitational hosted by IUP on Tuesday.
TEAM NOTES
• The Vulcans shot a 42-over 610 (306-034) over the two rounds at the Indiana Country Club.
• The host Crimson Hawks cruised to the invitational title by 16 strokes with a four-under 564 (281-283).
• Charleston (W.Va.) placed second in the team standings with a 12-over 580 (298-282) and Gannon finished third at 16-over 584 (296-288).
• The event featured golfers from 15 teams from primarily the PSAC and MEC.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
• Junior
Jack Hritsko led the team and tied for 30th overall on the individual leader board with a nine-over 151 (75-76).
• He tied for the team lead with 21 pars and fired three birdies over the two rounds.
• Seniors
Mason Takacs, who was playing as an individual, and
Reese Watson were one stroke back at 10-over 152 and tied for 34th place.
• Malone (Ohio) graduate student Gunnar McCollins earned medalist honors in a three-person playoff after shooting a two-under 140 (70-70).

• Select golfers will compete as individuals at the Husky Invitational hosted by Bloomsburg on Thursday, April 18, at the Golf Course at Frosty Valley.
