ERIE, Pa. (Oct. 9) – In its final event of the fall season, the California (PA) women's golf team finished seventh at the Michael Corbett Fall Classic hosted by Gannon at the Whispering Woods Golf Club on Tuesday.
NOTES
• The Vulcans shot a 157-over 733 (364-369) at the event that featured eight teams.
• Junior
Ari Kaser paced the team and tied for 21st place with a 31-over 175 (86-89).
• She closed the fall with a team-best scoring average of 82.1 strokes over nine events with a pair of top-10 finishes.
• Seniors
Madelyn Myers and
Morgan Hughes finished within one stroke of each of other while playing in a field of 46 golfers.
• Myers shot a 36-over 180 (90-90) to finish 25th overall and Hughes tied for 26th place at 37-over 181 (90-91).
• The host Golden Knights won the invitational crown by two strokes with a 47-over 623 (308-315).
• Franklin Pierce (N.H.) senior Kesinee Prukmathakul claimed medalist laurels by 12 strokes with a three-under 141 (72-69) after firing 10 birdies and one eagle.
