ERIE, Pa. (Oct. 8) – In their final event prior to the league championships, the Vulcans placed sixth at the Howard "Bud" Elwell Invitational hosted by Gannon at Whispering Woods Golf Club on Tuesday.
NOTES
• California (PA) finished with a 46-over 622 (309-313) while playing at the eight-team event.
• Sophomore
Chaz Ekoniak led the team and finished 17th overall with an 11-over 155 (78-77).
• Classmate
Ben Edwards was one stroke back at 12-over 156 (76-80) and tied for 18th place.
• The host Golden Knights cruised to the tournament title by 26 strokes after carding a one-over 577 (283-294).
• Gannon sophomore Rasmus Seppanen captured medalist honors with a staggering 10-under 134 (67-67), topping the field of 49 golfers by nine strokes.

• The Vulcans close out the fall season at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships on Oct. 18-20 at Iron Valley Golf Club in Lebanon, Pennsylvania.
