BELLE VERNON, Pa. (Sept. 4) – California (PA) junior
Keegan Selinsky captured medalist honors for the first time in her career while finishing play at the Vulcan Invitational on Monday afternoon at Cedarbrook Golf Course.
TEAM NOTES
• The Vulcans shot a 47-over 331 in the second round to finish sixth with a 109-over 677 (346-331) while hosting the event.
• Alvernia captured the tournament title by 13 strokes with a 64-over 632 (315-317) after carding a 33-over 317 in the second round.
• West Chester placed second in the team standings with a 77-over 645 (325-320) and Millersville climbed to third place with a 90-over 658 (338-320).
• Cal has hosted the season-opening Vulcan Invitational in each of the last three years.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
• Selinsky tied with Bloomsburg junior Olivia Bloomsburg after two rounds with a 13-over 155 (77-78) before earning medalist honors on the initial playoff hole.
• Selinksy, an All-PSAC selection in 2023, is the third different Cal golfer to capture medalist laurels over the last four events dating back to last spring.
• Selinksy is the first Cal golfer to claim medalist honors at a home event since Carla Maestre accomplished the feat in 2016.

Morgan Hughes carded a career-best round for a consecutive day, as she posted a 10-over 81 in the final round.
• Hughes registered a top-20 finish by shooting a 23-over 165 (84-81) while at Cedarbrook.
