BROOKVILLE, Pa. (Oct. 16) – The California (PA) women's golf team closed its fall season on Monday by competing at the Clarion Fall Invitational held at Pinecrest Country Club.
TEAM NOTES
• The Vulcans did not record a team score at the event due to an inability to reach the minimum number of golfers in each round.
• Gannon cruised to the invitational title by 51 strokes after firing a 31-over 607 (314-293).
• Mercyhurst placed second in the team standings with an 82-over 658 (333-325) and the host Golden Eagles posted a 114-over 690 (347-343) to finish third overall.
• The event featured golfers from seven different schools, including five PSAC programs.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
• Junior
Madelyn Myers led the team and tied for 19th overall with a 37-over 181 (92-89).
• Gannon junior Ditte Peterson earned medalist honors by a dominating 13 strokes with a four-under 140 (72-68) after carding a school record four-under 68 in the final round.
