Dejah Terrell (Reading, Pa./Berks Catholic) was selected the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West Athlete of the Week for the third time this year on Monday afternoon.
Terrell averaged 22.3 points, 11.0 rebounds, 3.0 blocks and 1.7 steals per game, as the Vulcans posted a 2-1 record in league play last week. She recorded her third 30-point game of the season on Monday, as she scored 30 points on 11-of-23 from the floor and 8-of-11 from the free-throw line in a 76-67 loss at Shepherd in PSAC Crossover play. Terrell also finished with eight rebounds, three steals and two blocks against the Rams. The Reading native then posted a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds (six offensive), plus added three assists, two blocks and two steals, in a 64-59 win at IUP on Wednesday. Terrell ended the week with her ninth double-double of the season by collecting 18 points and 13 rebounds (four offensive) in a 78-42 victory over Edinboro on Saturday. She also tied her season high with five blocks against the Fighting Scots.
A Berks Catholic product, Terrell ranks second in the PSAC in scoring at 18.7 points per game while sitting fourth in the league in double-doubles. She also paces the conference and ranks No. 10 in NCAA Division II with 2.65 blocks per game, while ranking fourth in the league with 9.6 rebounds per game.
Terrell has been honored by the PSAC a combined eight times this season, as she has received PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Week accolades five times.
Cal U returns to action tonight, Monday, Feb. 14, as it travels to Pitt-Johnstown for a PSAC West contest at 5:30 p.m.
