KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Sept. 28) – The California University of Pennsylvania men's soccer team recently received the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2020-21 academic year.
To be eligible for the award, teams must hold a minimum cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.00 or higher on a 4.00 scale for the 2020-21 academic year. The honor is available to all soccer programs at the high school and collegiate levels. United Soccer Coaches recently recognized nearly 625 college programs from across the country, including more than 230 men's teams.
The Vulcans were one of only two Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) teams to garner the honor from the United Soccer Coaches this season. Men's soccer finished the spring semester with a 3.24 cumulative GPA.
